Wyoming Forklift Parts - Wyoming is a state in the mountain region of the Western United States. The western two thirds of the state is covered mostly with the mountain ranges and rangelands in the Eastern Rocky Mountain foothills, while the eastern third of the state of Wyoming is high elevation prairie known as the High Plains. The state of Wyoming is the least populated U.S. state, with a U.S. Census population of roughly 563,600 during 2010. This is a 14.1% increase ever since 2000. It is the tenth biggest U.S. state by area. Cheyenne is the capital and the most populous city of the state of Wyoming with a population of nearly 60,000 individuals in its city proper.

Agriculture has been an essential part in Wyoming's economy before, in the past. More recently, its overall importance to the economy has slowed. However, agriculture is still an important component of the lifestyle and culture of the state of Wyoming. The major agricultural commodities produced within Wyoming comprise livestock (beef), hay, grain (wheat and barley), wool and sugar beets. More than 91 percent of land in Wyoming is classified as rural.

The mineral commodities of Wyoming consist of coal, natural gas, coalbed methane, crude oil, uranium, and trona.

Coal: During 2004, the state of Wyoming produced 395.5 million short tons or 358.8 million metric tons of coal. The state of Wyoming is the number one producer of coal in the country. Wyoming has a reserve of 68.7 billion tons of coal. Major coal areas comprise the Powder River Basin and the Green River Basin.

Natural gas: In 2007, the state produced 2,254 trillion cubic feet of natural gas, making it the second leading state in the production of natural gas. A Drilling rig drills for natural gas just west of the Wind River Range in the Wyoming Rockies.

Coal Bed Methane (CBM): The boom for CBM began in the mid-1990s. CBM is characterized as methane gas which is extracted from Wyoming's coal bed seams. It is a different means of production of natural gas.

Crude oil: Wyoming produced 8,490,000 m3 or 53,400,000 barrels of crude oil during 2007. The state ranked 5th nationally in production of oil in the year 2007.

Diamonds: The Kelsey Lake Diamond Mine, situated in Colorado less than 300 m or 1,000 feet from the border of Wyoming, produced gem quality diamonds for several years.

Uranium: Even if mining of uranium in Wyoming is much less active than it was in prior decades, recent increases in the price of uranium have generated new interest in uranium prospecting and mining.
