Counterbalance Forklift Training Programs
According to Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations, anybody who utilizes a counterbalanced lift truck must have training. Training for these kinds of industrial vehicles consists of both classroom training and hands-on driver training. Refresher training is necessary occasionally so as to keep operator skills up to date. OSHA does not specify a minimum time requirement for either the hands-on or classroom training.

Counterbalanced Forklifts
The counterbalance forklift could balance its load thanks to a counterbalance built into the truck. Tines can move up and down parallel to the truck's body. The blades do not rotate. Operators driving counterbalanced lift trucks should receive training about the particular trucks they will be utilizing and in a similar workplace setting.

Classroom Training Programs

The operator would be taught the basics of fueling or charging the lift truck, which depends on whether it is a gas-powered or battery-powered engine. Supervised Driving
Driver training would be supervised to make sure that the operator would know how to correctly operate the counterbalance lift truck. This practical training course would happen in the same kind of setting wherein the operator will be working. The operator will train with the same types of nearby buildings and other structures on the same kind of terrain, as well as the same vehicular and pedestrian traffic.

Refresher Training Programs
Though OSHA requires periodic refresher training for counterbalanced lift truck drivers, there are no specifications which determine the frequency of refresher training or its contents. Then again, for regular operators, refresher training should consist of classroom-style training.
